Cepis to minnesota

Former Bowling Green forward Jacob Cepis has decided to transfer to minnesota and will begin classes this spring so he will be eligible to play starting this time next season.

It had been previously rumored that Wisconsin was Cepis' top choice, but apparently that was never even a discussion between the parties. Cepis was on the CCHA all rookie team last season, and would be a nice addition to whichever team he choose.

As Baggot points out in his article linked above, Wisconsin is already full at forward for the next few seasons, and it really wouldn't have worked to fit Cepis in. Though when I first heard the rumor that he was interested in UW, I wasn't going to be surprised if Eaves "found" a spot for him. As Baggot further points out, Tom Gorowsky is the only graduating forward since Ben Street will likely be back w/ a medical redshirt. Blake Geoffrion and John Mitchell are possible candidates to leave early and I wouldn't be surprised if either did.
