The Polish Prince, Joe Pavelski, hit another career milestone Tuesday night. 3:08 into overtime, Patrick Marleau banged home a slapper with assists from Joe Thornton and the Prince himself.
It was Pavelski's 100th career point. The Prince got there in just over the equivalent of 2 NHL seasons. In his brief career, he now has 46 goals and 54 assists. Not too shabby for a kid from Plover, Wisconsin who many deemed not to have the foot speed to play at the highest level in the world.
Joe is currently having his best season yet, putting up 32 points in only 43 games. Even more impressive is the success of his Sharks, who are tied for a league best 73 points with Boston who has played 2 more games.
Joe has won a championship at Stevens Point Area Senior High. He has won a championship with the Waterloo Black Hawks. Most recently he was a significant contributor in Wisconsin's 6th National Championship. Plain and simple the kid is a winner, and it's only a matter of time before he lifts the Cup with the Sharks.
