What would the internet be without speculation and predictions? That's right, absolutely garbage. Western College Hockey, and the World of Junior Hockey, both put together predictions on who will be on the U.S. roster at next season's World Junior Championships.
Both lists are similar so it seems as though next years class doesn't have a ton of question marks on who will make the roster. Both list Wisconsin players Derek Stepan (forward), and Jake Gardiner (Defense) as virtual locks for the roster. I would agree that both should make the team. Next year's defensive class is rather weak so Gardiner shouldn't have too much of a problem. It's too bad Atlanta wont release Bogosian. Stepan is having a hell of a freshman season and is leading all forwards in points.
