The Harvard Crimson Hockey Blog is rumoring that Salmon Arm forward Conor Morrison has narrowed his college list to 4 schools: Harvard, Boston University, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Morrison, a smallish forward (5'8, 155) plays for the same team as committed Badger recruit Mark "first star" Zengerle. Morrison is third in the league in points per game only behind Zengerle and Derek Grant (Michigan State commit).
Wisconsins' current scholarship situation is so fuzzy it's not even fair to speculate on where a player like Morrison would fit in. There are only a few certainties that we know right now on the forward side of things; Tom Gorowsky is graduating, and Craig Smith, Keegan Meuer, Derek Lee, and Tyler Barnes have signed letters of intent. John Mitchell and Blake Geoffrion are both rumored to be signing pro deals, and there has been talk of bringing in Zengerle as well.
In this day of age in college hockey, you really can't be sure who is going to be on that roster until school starts in the fall, and even then you don't know how long the player will be there that season. (see: Suter, Ryan)
