Inside College Hockey has their annual recruiting rankings out. Its only INCH afterall, they probably still believe Wisconsin fans were responsible for throwing coins onto the ice during the NCAA Regional.
They place Wisconsin 9th overall, w/ 6 teams from the WCHA making the top 15. Last year Wisconsin was #1, and while that class was filled w/ top draft picks, I think this class is filled w/ a lot of long term players who are going to contribute significantly to the success of the program the next 3 or 4 years.
In their top 20 forwards, Derek Stepan is 16th. Jordy Murray and Matt Thurber can't be too far off the list.
In their top 20 blue liners, Jake Gardiner is 8th and Eric Springer is 20th. Little surprised to see Springer crack that list, but I think he is a steal based on his play last year in the USHL.
