Another shutout for Vetter; Knight sits out

Jessie Vetter earned yet another shutout last night, as the Badgers defeated Syracuse 3-0. The Badger goals were scored by Deluce (Duggan, Matthews), Ammerman (Sanders, Giles), and Duggan (Keseley).

Hilary Knight did not play last night, but no information is currently available as to why.

Yep, you read that right. Minnesota lost to Robert Morris. Last season, RMU had a 12-22-1 record, compared to Minnesota's 27-7-4 record. Looks like the issue last night was goaltending -- Kim Hanlon allowed 3 goals on just 7 shots before being pulled about 5 minutes into the 2nd period in favor of Jenny Lura, who made 3 saves during the entire rest of the game.

On the other end of the ice, Brianne McLaughlin made 63 saves to hold on for the victory. Wow.

And that's how RMU defeated Minnesota despite being outshot 65-10.

Also, it looks like Quinnipiac, Wisconsin's foe from last weekend, was walloped by St. Cloud, losing 7-0.
