Weekly Recruit Recap II

The USHL had a busy exhibition schedule this weekend.

On friday, Craig Smith notched a PP goal, though his team the Waterloo Black Hawks lost to the GB Gamblers 4-3. I was at that game and more on that in another post.

On saturday, GB won again against Waterloo 3-1. The bad blood carried over from friday night and future Badgers Keegan Mauer and Brock Montpetit both saw the penalty box for fighting.

Meanwhile, at the NAHL Showcase the NTDP U17 team won again yesterday including a Michael Mersch goal. That was 2 goals for the showcase for Micheal. On friday, Frankie Simonelli was ejected and the NTP U17s lost. Frankie did have an assist earlier in the Showcase.

The BCHL had a full weekend. Justin Schultz and the Westside Warriors went 2-1 during the week. (9/18, 9/19, 9/20) Derek Lee and the Victoria Grizzles split two games this weekend. (9/19, 9/20)
