Badgers lose recruit Nick Pryor

It's a very sad day in Badger land. Recruit Nick Pryor has informed the Sixty Minutes, No Alibis, No Regrets blog that he will not be coming to the University of Wisconsin. He was not able to get the proper clearance from the University to gain admissions for the fall of 2009. Pryor cited a low ACT score as the reason that he will not be admitted.

Pryor was slated to play his senior year for Des Moines of the USHL and enter Wisconsin in the fall of 2009. The past 2 seasons he skated for the USA NTDP in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As a freshman he played for Minnesota powerhouse Hill Murray high school.

Pryor was selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the 7th round. He was the 208th pick overall in the 2008 Draft.

Pryor was one of the favorite recruits of the Sixty Minutes blog. Last spring when the NTDP U-18 squad was in Russia for the U-18 World Championships, he did a daily blog for us. You can check out his old posts here.
