USHL Badger Recruit Semi-Final Roundup

I can guarnatee one thing on the first day of May, 2 Badger recruits will win the Clark Cup.

The Waterloo Blackhawks (Brock Montpetit and Craig Smith) swept the Chicago Steel in one semi-final, while the Omaha Lancers (Patrick Wiercioch and Matt Thurber) slipped past the Lincoln Stars (Travis Erstad) in 5 games. In game 5 last night, Omaha was down 2-0 at one point, but charged back to win 5-4, including a goal by Matt Thurber.

The Finals start Sunday night, GL to both teams. I might try to catch a game at some point on B2Live.

I'll have to give Matt Thurber Badger Recruit of the semi's, but its great to see that all 5 young men have contributed to their teams during the playoffs.
