In a move that was long over-due, Wisconsin head coach Mike Eaves has moved Andy Bohmbach off the fourth line up to the Aaron Bendickson centered third line full time. In a corresponding move, Eaves has moved under performing winger Patrick Johnson off of Bendicksons line to the fourth line.
Bohmbach is an unselfish player, and a player that is greatly under appreciated on this years squad. The senior forward currently carries a line of 9-10-19 all while playing mostly fourth line minutes.
Bohmbach is also a key member of the Badgers penalty kill unit, a unit that ranks 10th in the nation at an 86% kill rate. According to the latest release from the University, the Badgers have only allowed more than one goal on the power play just twice over its last 19 games and has blanked opponents on power plays in six of its last seven contests and 11 of the 19
games during the stretch.
Eaves made the initial switch during the third period of the Saturday night Anchorage game and the line accounted for back to back tallies, with Aaron Bendickson finishing on both plays.
