"We did what we needed to do today. We don't get too many chances to play for a championship, but now we gave ourselves that opportunity. The team has been grinding it out since the middle of August and brought energy and determination to today's game."-- Mark Johnson

Jinelle Zaugg-Siergiej had 1 assist, and Jessie Vetter made 34 saves.
"I was very happy with the outcome of the game tonight. Jessie kept us in the game early on and we played a very competitive and intense game. It was nice to come away with a victory in the first-ever Hockey Canada Cup."-- Mark Johnson

"Canada came at us really strong and played a good first 20 minutes. As a goaltender, you try to hold them off as long as you can, and hopefully your team will respond. We did that." -- Jessie Vetter

"Every time you win, it gives you just a little more confidence. But it won't mean anything if we don't make it to the championship game in February and don't come to play. If you don't, Canada will take advantage of it. We'll come in focused, because Canada's a great team." -- Jessie Vetter
