08/09 Recap: Geena was part of Mercyhurst’s national championship runner-up team last season losing to Wisconsin in the title game 5-1. After the season, she decided to transfer to the victor of that game and joins the Badgers this season since Women’s Hockey only requires a redshirt season when transfer inside the same conference.
09/10 Thoughts: Geena plays both forward and defense, which will be nice this season as the Badgers could easily use her to play both. W/ the Kelter twins playing soccer until at least December, that doesn’t leave any additional blue liners, and only one forward, her transfer from Mercyhurst adds not only depth, but experience. Geena is a welcome addition to the Cardinal and White.
