09/10 Role: US Women’s Olympic Team

08/09 Recap: Meghan was the key to a very successful 2nd line last season while serving as Assistant Captain and playing big minutes on the All Forward 1st PP unit and on the PK. For her efforts she was named to the All-WCHA 3rd Team in a very deep WCHA. She finished 4th on the team in scoring.

09/10 Thoughts: Big shoes need to be filled for the Badgers this season w/ Meghan off to the Olympics. Were there no Olympics this season, she would have been the #2 returning scorer and likely Captain of the team. Her last chapter as a Badger will have to wait a year, time to write a chapter as an Olympian first. While Meghan (and Hilary Knight) won’t be on the Badger roster this season, the blog will be following them closely as they go for gold.

Plan to come to the Kohl Center on Tuesday January 5th, when Meghan (and 7 other current and former Badgers) will be in town as Team USA squares off against the Badger Women.

Prediction: Olympic Gold
