08/09 Recap: As team captain last year at Shattuck St. Mary’s, Brianna cleared dominated. Her domination continued as alternate captain of the USA Women’s U18 team that won gold at the 2009 Women’s WJC, coaching by Mark Johnson. Have you seen reference to this before? Almost every freshman played in that championship game.

09/10 Thoughts: Brianna is arguably the best freshman in the country this season, and I think there are a lot of followers of girl’s hockey in the state who are anxious to see her play this season. I have high hopes for Brianna this season, and honestly I wouldn’t have been totally surprised to have seen her on the Olympic team. Glad to have her in the Cardinal and White though. W/ losses to graduation and the Olympic team, the chance will be there for her to star right away. If Hilary Knight is da bomb, what will that make Brianna Decker?

Prediction: 34 games, 25-25-50*
