08/09 Recap: I’m expanding my Women’s previews this season, I went to enough games last season for a recap, at least of most players. If my memory serves me correctly, Kelly spent most of the season on the 4th line, but also saw some time on the PP. Kelly is a good player, and w/ the wealth of talent at forward last season, was farther down on the depth chart, but despite that put up nice numbers.
09/10 Thoughts: Assuming Knight and Duggan are gone w/ Team USA, everyone is going to have to step up to fill that void (and the ones left by Lawler and Keseley) and Kelly’s role w/ the team should expand. I have a hard time envisioning who will play on the top line (there are a lot of choices), w/ Kelly fitting in on the 2nd or 3rd line.
Overall I think the theme for the Women’s team will be filling the voids, both in the coaching staff and w/ the losses to the Olympics and graduation.
Prediction: 34 games, 8-18-26
