A few random FF notes
- Todd reminds us that we can catch open team practices on Wednesday and Friday. Maybe I'm easily amused, but I always like to stop by for a couple of the practices. They're usually pretty light-hearted and entertaining. In MKE, I remember Oz goofing around and "slashing" a couple of players as they were skating, Jeff Likens making all sorts of noise, and of course the shootouts. I'm definitely planning on going to Bemidji's practice(s). Here's the practice schedule:
Wed
11 a.m. - noon — Bemidji State
12:15 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. — Miami
1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. — Vermont
2:45 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. — Boston University
Fri
11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. — Winner of Game 1
12:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. — Winner of Game 2
- On Saturday, you can skate on the championship ice -- the free open-skate runs from 1pm to 3pm -- not sure what they'll limit the time on ice to.
- On Saturday, you can also stop by and say "hi" to Badgers Angie Keseley and Tom Gorowsky, as the Skills Competition Participants are signing autographs between 5:45 and 6:45.
- Those of you who were in GR for the Midwest Regional (ok, I only saw 3 other Badger fans besides me, but whatever) are aware that Bemidji doesn't have a pep band. Luckily, George Mason's pep band is happy to step in. Nice!
