A couple odds & ends
- What to do about Bemidji and the disbanding of the CHA? Bemidji wants to join the WCHA, but that would make the WCHA an 11-team league unless someone else comes with. Well, Andy Baggot says the Badgers should just go ahead and leave the WCHA to make room for Bemidji . . .
- Baggot says there's no room for Wisconsinite David Solway to transfer in from Bowling Green, because bringing in 1st-Star Zengerle a year early would be a better option. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't Solway have to sit out a year anyway, so this would have nothing to do with bringing in Zengerle early? (Zengerle is slated to come in 2010, but it sure would be nice to bring him in 2009.)
- I'm not sure if we posted this yet, so I'll go ahead and post it here -- the Waterloo BlackHawks have named Craig Smith their 2008-09 Most Valuable Player.
- HIW has links for the Chicago Hockey Showcase. Playing for TW are potential Badger recruits Wes Wauters and Andrew Martin.
