It's Friday, I'm in Love

I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
It's Friday, I'm in love

I know, I know; I'm a week late here, as the Badger Women opened play last weekend. My sincerest apologies to the Women, as I'm somewhat concerned that my "not being in love" last Friday irritated the hockey gods and subsequently jinxed the Badgers' scoring (never mind the great play by UND's goaltender). Plus, it's just horrible that I didn't post before their opening weekend. I'm a sieve.

Anyway, here's what's going on this weekend . . .

BADGER MEN: Red/White Scrimmage, FRI 7PM (Kohl Center)

The scrimmage, which will consist of three 20-minute periods, is free and open to the public. Parking is free as well. Unlike past years, there won't be a dinner or presentation afterward (in the past Eaves and the captains said a few words), but players and coaching staff will be available to sign autographs.

Andy Bohmbach had a hat trick in the 1st scrimmage (Oct 3); will he get another one tonight?

Lines
No idea what lines we'll see tonight, but here are some of the forward lines that have been seen so far (per Baggot). As of Oct 6, Derek Lee still couldn't practice due to some NCAA paperwork snafu.
Oct 6
Bohmbach - Geoffrion - P. Johnson
Bendickson - Dolan - Grotting
Murray - Stepan - C. Smith
Mitchell - Street - Turnbull
Meuer - Thurber - Davies

(Note that C. Smith was moved from center to wing; Eaves indicated that the staff felt he wasn't quite ready for center yet.)

Oct 3

Bohmbach - Geoffrion - P. Johnson
Street - Stepan - Murray
Bendickson - Dolan - Grotting
Mitchell - C. Smith - Davies
Turbull - Thurber - Meuer

Sept 31
Mitchell - C. Smith - P. Johnson
Bohmbach - Geoffrion - Davies
Bendickson - Dolan - Grotting
Street - Stepan - Murray
Turbull - Thurber - Meuer

Sept 15
P. Johnson - Street - Davies
Bohmbach - Geoffrion - Turnbull
Murray - Stepan - Smith
Mitchell - Dolan - Grotting
Meuer - Thurber - Bendickson
As far as defensive pairings go, Baggot shared the following pairings from Oct 3, with Springer/C. Johnson/Little moving in and out of the pairings:
B. Smith - Goloubef
McDonagh - Ramage
Gardiner - Schultz
Baggot also shared some thoughts in his blog post yesterday about the Badgers defensive lineup.
