Today's U20 game results

I don't have official recaps/box scores yet, but I'll add those in as soon as they are available! In the meantime, you can read Shawn Roarke's updates.

* EDIT: here are the recaps/box scores. *

Team White defeated Finland 7-1. Team White's roster was the same as the day before and included Badger Ryan McDonagh. McD was held of the scoresheet but reportedly did some nice penalty kill work. Per Roarke:
Goalie Brandon Maxwell was sharp, but he faced few quality chances thanks to the work of the players in front of him. Finland could not convert on four 5-on-3 advantages, including three straight in the third period. [Tyler] Johnson, Ryan McDonagh and Kevin Shattenkirk did the majority of the work on those kills.

Team Blue defeated Sweden 7-1. With the exception of a change in net, the roster was the same as the day before and included Badger Jake Gardiner on D. Gardiner was held of the scoresheet.

** A note about the players at camp that did not make it onto the final Blue and White rosters -- Per Roarke, F Jim O'Brien, D Colby Cohen, and D Tommy Cross are all currently injured. Roarke suggests that D Teddy Ruth may also be injured -- he is still at camp but not playing, suggesting a minor injury. As USA Hockey has not announced any official cuts (and Roarke indicates the USA Hockey "doesn't like to call them cuts in the first place"), I'm assuming that they are still be considered for the final U20 team that will be named later.

According to Roarke, the other players who did not make the final Blue and White rosters are D Scooter Vaughan, F John Albert, F Justin (I think he meant Jack) Connolly, F Justin Florek, F Jake Hanson, and F Patrick White.

I'm a bit confused by Roarke's list of defensemen, as I don't see either Colby Cohen or Tommy Cross on the full camp roster. Greg Pateryn, not mentioned by Roarke, is listed on the full camp roster but not on the final White/Blue rosters. *shrug*
