NHL.com has an interesting article about the format of the US U20 evaluation camp that began on Friday. I had previously mentioned that the 1st several days of the camp would include practices and intrasquad scrimmages. Apparently this is a bit of a change over past years in that more players are invited to this portion of the camp -- enough for 3 teams -- and the scrimmages (and therefore evaluation of the players) begin earlier.
On Tuesday, the first round of cuts will be made, with the rosters being set for the 2 teams that will play Finland and Sweden in a round-robin tournament that runs Aug 5-9.
