Badger Men: 2009 recruits

According to Andy Baggot, the Badgers intend to sign 7 players when the early-signing period begins Nov 12.

If no one leaves early, that give us 9 D, but ya gotta figure McBain is gone. McDonagh, Goloubef, and Smith are also possible flight risks, so we could be left with anywhere from 5 to 8 (although I doubt they'll all leave).

Again, if no one leaves early, and assuming that Street returns, that gives us 20 forwards. Of course, ya gotta figure that Geoffrion is gone, and there could be a couple of other early departures, but any way you look at it, that's a lot of forwards.

Eaves indicated that the number of players signed during the spring signing period will be determined by early departures. I'm assuming that he's talking about defensemen, as I can't imagine they'll need any more forwards.
