This is a very last-minute reminder, as Northwest Sports is hoping to close registration today. But I've been told that there are still spots for 3 or 4 foursomes for golfing and tons of room in the cookout/reception. If you want to golf, it's $125 per individual or $500 per foursome. If you just want to attend the cookout/reception, it's just $25. So go ahead and sign up now! Should be a good time, and the proceeds benefit Portage County Youth on Ice and the Joe Pavelski Scholarship Fund.Golfing starts at 2pm. Food will be served at 7 PM, and I've been told to come anytime to hang out and have drinks. Pavs will be playing hole #8 all day, so all golfers will be able to golf with him, and hopefully it will be ok with the course for non-golfers to run out to that hole to watch for a bit. There will also be an after-party, and Northwest Sports will have a block of hotel rooms reserved for those staying overnight. (Northwest Sports will email specifics to registrants.)
Items available for raffle/auction include: large stainless steel sharks logo autographed by entire 2009 team, kings jersey autographed by Drewiske, Pavelski auto jersey, Rob Blake auto jersey, Joe Thornton auto jersey, a few minor league jerseys, Pavelski auto stick, 2 wild tickets for any 2009-10 home game, Badgers jersey, 2 tickets to the PGA championship at Hazeltine (MN), and a whole mess of smaller things...
In addition to Pavs (obviously), players who are confirmed to be there include Davis Drewiske, Kyle Klubertanz, and Jason Fredricks (Colgate / Providence Bruins). Still waiting on other possible players.
