Pat Johnson Out Of The Lineup

Mike Eaves finally gets it. It's time to pull the plug on the Pat Johnson experiment on the first line. Johnson, the only player to play in all 6 games who has not recorded a point has been demoted from the first line to the 5th line, and thus likely out of the lineup for this weekends series with rival Minnesota.

After a brutal performance out of his 5'9 winger last weekend, Eaves had to make the change.

"A little message to Patrick, quite honestly,'' Eaves said. "There's a message there to everybody that you have to perform game in and game out. We have a deep team and if (quality play) is not going to happen, we have the ability to do stuff like this.''

Johnson's play has fallen off significantly since he rode Kyle Turris's coat tails to a 21 point freshman season. Last year in 35 games, the tiny forward from Madison recorded a whopping 4 points.
