2. John Ramage (0-0-0, 0 SOG, +1, played hard, had a couple of nice blocked shots and some hard hits)
3. Brendan Smith (0-1-1, 2 SOG, E)
Subway Sub of the Game (per Posick/Cerniglia): Scott Gudmandson
In case you missed it:
The Badgers played most of the game with just 10 forwards, as they dressed only 11 forwards to start the game and Jordy Murray left the game midway through the 1st period. So players were double shifted and the lines were a bit mixed up during the rest of the game.
By the way, Eric Springer, who was dressed as a 7th defenseman, played only a few shifts the entire game. Of course, there was no way to predict ahead of time that both Gardiner and McDonagh would hold up and that Murray would be injured, so it's hard to fault Eaves for the decision.
Random Thoughts:
I think Michigan might be a bit better than their record had previously indicated. Camp Randall Classic should be fun, hey?
