WCHA First Round: Friday Night Preview

Well what we have here folks is an opportunity to redeem ourselves from last weekend. The best part about playing that game on Sunday is that it was one less day I had to wait to watch the Badgers again.

Here is a brief overview of how the WCHA playoffs work if you can't remember or if your not familiar. Teams are seeded 1-10 based on order of finish in the regular season. Obviously #1 plays #10, #2 vs #9, etc. There are 5 first round match ups played at the home site of the higher seed. First round match ups are a best 2 out of 3 series. The 5 winners advance to the WCHA Final Five next weekend at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Tonight's match up features your Wisconsin Badgers who finished with the #2 seed in the WCHA tournament and Alaska-Anchorage, which finished with the #9 seed in the tournament. Both games (Sunday if needed) will take place at the Kohl Center at 7:00 PM.

Location: Kohl Center
Game Time: 7:00 PM
Television: MyNetworkTv, or WKBT2 on Charter in Western Wisconsin (9). MyNetworkTv in Madison (14). TWCS In Milwaukee and Green Bay on Time Warner (32). Post more in the comment section if you have em.
